Common Troubleshooting Methods for LED Displays
LED display screens are currently one of the most widely used information dissemination devices, but any device can experience various malfunctions during use. Commissioning repairs can be very costly. Below is an introduction to common faults of LED electronic display screens and methods to troubleshoot them. This can save you a lot of trouble.

Common Troubleshooting Methods for LED Display Screens
LED display screens are currently one of the most popular information dissemination devices, but any device can experience various faults during use. Repairing them can be costly. Below are common faults of LED electronic display screens and their troubleshooting methods. This can save you a lot of trouble.
Common Troubleshooting Methods for LED Display Screens
1. Overall Screen Not Bright
1. Check if the power supply is connected. 2. Check if the communication cable is connected and if there are any connection errors. 3. For synchronous screens, check if the sending and receiving modules have communication green lights flashing. 4. Check if the computer monitor has protection enabled or if the display area is black or pure blue.
2. Entire Unit Board Not Lighting Up
1. When several boards horizontally do not light up, check the wiring connections between the normal unit board and the abnormal unit board; or check if chip 245 is functioning properly. 2. When several boards vertically do not light up, check if the power supply for that column is normal.
3. Rows on the LED Display Screen Unit Board Not Lighting
1. Check if the row pins and 4953 output pins are connected. 2. Check if 138 is functioning properly. 3. Check if 4953 is overheating or burnt out. 4. Check if 4953 has a high-level signal. 5. Check if the pins of 138 and 4953 control components are connected.
4. Unit Board Not Lighting Up
1. Check if 595 is functioning properly. 2. Check if the corresponding pins of the upper and lower modules are connected. 3. Check if the output pins of 595 are connected to the module pins.
5. Color Missing on LED Display Screen Unit Board
1. Check if 245 r.g data is outputting.
6. One Unit Board Not Lighting Up
1. Check if 1.5V power or GND is supplied. 2. Check if 5V and GND are short-circuited. 3. Check if the OE signal of 245 is normal (cut off or shorted).
Methods to Resolve Faults:
1. Connect '5V or GND'. 2. Provide a 'disconnected short-circuited' OE signal. 3. Connect broken circuits and disconnect short-circuited components.
7. Upper or Lower Half of a Unit Board Not Lighting or Displaying Normally
Methods to Resolve LED Display Screen Faults:
1. Connect OE signal. 2. Connect SCLK and RCK signals properly. 3. Disconnect and connect broken circuits and short circuits properly. 4. Disconnect and connect broken circuits and short circuits properly.
8. One Row or Corresponding Module Row of an LED Display Screen Unit Board Not Lighting or Displaying Normally.
1. Check if the row signal pins of the corresponding module are cold soldered or missing solder. 2. Check if the row signal and corresponding 4953 pins are disconnected or shorted with other signals. 3. Check if the resistors above and below the row signal are soldered properly or have solder leakage. 4. Check if the row signal output from 74hc138 and corresponding 4953 are disconnected or shorted with other signals.
Methods to Resolve LED Display Screen Faults:
1. Please solder temporary or leaking solder joints. 2. Disconnect and connect broken circuits and short circuits properly on the LED display screen. 3. Supplement unsoldered or missed solder joints.
